Same with shaved legs. When you see only women with shaved legs on TV and everyone around you is waxing, your brain tells you “this is normal.” But is wanting shaved legs really your authentic preference, or just cultural programming?

My fascination with cross-cultural differences in university taught me how deeply environment shapes what we think are our “natural” preferences. What I thought was my authentic desire to help people with fitness was actually conditioning from years of being told that’s what “helping women” looked like.
